2009's first sleepless night == Ok, it is 4.12am in da morning, and I havent slept at all =.=' I am so so so so so so so so [this goes on for another 9999x] sleepy, and yet, my brain juz wont shut itself off..damn... Every inch of my body has already prepared for hibernation, but my brain is still running actively... Haiz..I wonder if i can still survive in sch, with PE and CCA a few hours later... Wishing u all a blessed and great year ahead [with a lot of angpao , of course xD] Anyway, since this is an Ox year, I believe I shld work much harder..afterall, ox work hard for most of their lives in da farm, right? The outing of the brotherhood xD Went out with my usual group of homies... Met San first at toa payoh centre... Then went to find Mars n Liaowei at Takashimaya... After tat juz went to drink coffee and talked, talked and talked == Then we headed to the Heeren and found 77th Street... Firstly we wanted juz to buy Liaowei a bday present... Yep, we did buy him a chain which is hung around ur jeans... Quite cool, haha... San wanted to find a cap, but nth suited his taste, and he bought another chain == Meanwhile, I bought a shade...Here is wad it looks like on me:  Liaowei said I look like the guy who came from the future, those superhero-related ==' wew... After tat Archie and Alan joined us, and we went upstairs to eat... We entered this Japanese restaurant...[from outside it looks like expensive..sial] Archie was first reluctant, but there is a promotion tat a meal on each table will be at half-price..so we let Archie take tat and he agreed to go in with us =\ We ordered mostly noodle dishes. I thought at price $11 per bowl [tat was my meal price, dunno abt da rest], it would be a Well, it DID look like Big at first  But let me tell u, the soup and the noodle juz barely reached the half of that huge bowl == Anyway, despite the expensive price, I guessed we enjoyed our meals , especially Archie, juz look at him ;)  HAHAHA...== I believe we went home happily-filled after that =) Anyway, here are some more photos we took today =D  On one side of the table, Big3!  And on the other side, Alan, San n Archie!  Ok, this was a candid shot by Alan..I believe it would be a nicer shot of myself if not for Liaowei Well, alright, hmm..so tats all for today, peeps...see ya around! =D
Happy CNY in advance! =D  First and foremost, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR to all fellow Chinese xD May we all got a lot of hong bao...wahahahaha...=PAnyway,I changed my glasses today...== A few reasons why: # My old spectacles' frames was quite rusty already, after being used for abt 3 years == # The old lenses were alr a bit dull and somewhat yellowish ==' # The lenses were having scratches as well... Well, I then found that glasses I was wearing in da photo... Ok, ok, I know I looked quite nerdy...Nvm...This year is time to get some nerdy time! haha...O level year == But seriously, didnt expect it to get so expensive == At first, I saw the promotion on the shop "$48 + Free Lenses" Well, since I thought it was less than $60 [my budget], I went ahead to check my eye degree so as to get the lenses...[my right eye's degree went up by 025, damn man...it went up, it went up =='] Then I proceeded to pay... Clerk: Wah, ur astigmatism is 250...we only give free lenses to those whose astigmatism is 200 and below... Me: Wah, then ? Clerk: U have to add $30.. Me: Aww..ok...[a bit disappointed alr, it wasnt a gd FREE offer ==] Then I remembered my mom's message to ask for anti-scratch for the lenses... Me: Umm...is Anti-scratch included in the lense? Clerk: Tat one u need another $30 leh.... Me: ..... Ah..ok lah..ok lah...[no choice alr] Clerk: So total $108 ah... Me: *sniggering* hehe..give some discount lah..I will come again for my specs problems lah..hoho... Clerk: Aiyo..very cheap alr leh...ok lah...charge u for $100 In da end I did receive an $8 discount... But still, it is expensive damn it.... next time maybe I shldnt buy specs here... With $100 I can buy a branded frames together with the lenses in Jakarta... Hell, my frame wasnt even branded..haha... Well, let's nt regret it...I took it as my own gift for CNY..hehe... The lost, yet again... Our school lost a basketball match again... This time the opponent was only Guangyang Secondary, we knew that our school and theirs were abt da same, neighbourhood school... Then how could we lose by so many points?????? I dunno , I dunno, I am trying not to care by reminding myself that I actually juz wanted CCA points for being in da team...== But still, u guys hate da feeling of losing dont u? Now there seemed to be no more hope in going to next round of South Zone competition ==' Nvm nvm, remember Kevin, juz the CCA points shld be satisfactory already... U are what ur mind does... Emotional control, Mind control..They are what I've been trying to do now... Most of u guys know I am one of the very-emotional person.... Sometimes when I am in a depressed state, I wouldnt be able to calm myself down, thus affecting my work and attitude for a short period of time... Like today, for example, I was downloading Need For Speed Undercover, sized abt 4.4gb [Damn], separated into 22 parts of size 200mb each... I was downloading first 5 parts... Then suddenly 4 of them stopped in da middle..damn.... I re-downloaded again, of coz... Then for no reason no rhyme, suddenly my Firefox closed...and yeah, the downloads had to be re-do all over again...wthh....I was almost desperate alr... Not only bcoz it took so long to finish each downloads, but I had to remove some files from my tightly-spaced HDD to king lam's thumbdrive...so , yup, I am borrowing his.... Damn, it wouldnt be nice to delay it longer and longer... Faster, faster, please..... And my laptop is getting full of WEIRD problems.... If not the Wireless stopped by itself, the plug for external speaker was malfunctioning... And now the Brightness controller isnt working oso... WHAT THE HELLLLLLLL Oh, Kevin, calm down calm down... I am calming down, I am cool, as cool as an ice can be... Not bluffing lah, i am serious... == Alright, in da meantime I'll try to continue my journey to Self-Control..Haha... Grapefruit is not an orange == I meant to purchase some orange in NTUC today, coz it's been long time since I last enjoyed orange... And I came across a rack full of oranges which looked much like my favourite type of orange I love in Indonesia... But the name plate said "Grapefruit" I then thought "Oh! Grapefruit must be what this fruit is called in Singapore! Hmm.." So without another thought I chose 6 of them and put them into a plastic bag, while already imagining the sweetness of fresh-and-pulpy flesh of my favourite orange... I went home happily... After dinner I hastily grabbed one of them from the fridge and cut them open... But my jaws were hanging open afterwards "Huh?! How come the flesh is a deep-red colour?!?!?!?" I first thought that it was spoiled, but I couldnt detect any sign of decaying from the smell... Then I took a bite from it, and then I had this burning sensation on my tongue. Just that it wasnt from fire, but from the IT WAS SOUR !!!!! I have never tasted an orange this sour in my life!!!!! Looking at it with a blaming look on my eyes, I wanted to slump it straight the dustbin..== But hey, it is still food afterall And yea, I decided to squeeze out the juice instead of eating the Believe me, u wouldnt wanna try drinking on acid, but i have done it == It was as if I drink a citric acid solution straight == But at least it was better than eating it straight anyway Lesson learnt: #Think twice before u leap #Never judge an orange from its skin, coz u may mistake it for grapefruit instead == P.S. : Fyi, I still have gonna go through this 5 times ..I have 5 grapefruits left and I cant bring myself to throw them all away....T.T
Finally, after so long =D I've decided to change my blogskin again, after so long =P And then found this dark-coloured skin... Today's tears... Today 2008's O level Exam results were released... A lot of my senior frens dun get what they had expected... Yeah I could see disappointment in their eyes... What can I say, I shall wish all of them best of luck for the next courses they are taking... I received my Malay exam results... It was a B3 grade... Well, not a bad grade at all, and it was my target as well... But honestly, I kinda expected it to be an A2 If I can only achieve a B3 grade for normal Malay, What about Higher Malay this year... Argh..argh.... I took Malay too lightly... This year I will really prepare myself... And will push myself towards the targets I have set in mind... DO THE BEST FOR 2009! Saturday, 10 January 2009
Paralysis.. Damn, my lower body is nt at its best... After the basketball training started last Wednesday, my body wasnt ready for intense physical training yet I guess... Not juz me, even some of my teammates are experiencing the same problems... That Wednesday our legs were already in pain... Personally me legs [thighs and knees, to b specific] recovered a little bit on Thursday... Then on Friday, a more physical-demanding training was on... Yeah, my legs almost had themselves malfunctioning alr..the pain got worse... The next day, Saturday...I woke up with a barely movable leg...Planned not to go for training, but suddenly remembered a quote "winners nv quit, quitters nv win" =D so I went to school anyway... My mental-strength withstood everything, but my lower body gave way, especially during the 30-rounds jogging along the street soccer court... I could still feel my stamina remaining, but my lower body were almost paralysed... As a result, I limped all the way from school to home ==' Even now it is hard to bend my knees, bcoz of the pain... *sigh* Well, no point blaming myself etc...I shall juz hope I can recover by Wednesday... Back To School... First day of sch didnt really go so well, I suppose... 4e1 foreign students [includin me] who juz came today were scolded by the principal in the morning alr... Then all the work started like it was juz like any other day... Well, it isnt the world's fault right? It was mine. I let homesick took over myself.... Oh, and my body time still co-ordinate its sleeping and waking up time exactly like holidays...I need time to adjust it slowly... But homesick problem is the biggest currently... At school, it is almost nothing But at home, I really feel like going back to my place in Indo... Haiz... I MUST get over it soon, very soon... Welcome 2009! Alright, guys...2008 has retired and his so-called "replacement" is takin' da job... HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 EVERYONE! =D Whether we all met our targets for 2008 or not, dont be disheartened...Let's move on with new/old targets in 2009... Personally I have already set some goals in mind I must achieve in 2009,like * Emotion management [this is the first and foremost stuff I need to get a work on] * Talk less, do more [hahaha..u know wad I mean] * Optimistic mind * If there is a glass half-filled with water...I must be able to see it as "Half-full", not "Half-empty" [I mean, I have to see things from the positive sides] * Play hard They are some things I have in mind.. Well, I guess I'll juz have to start working on that, rather than keep wondering if I could achieve all those... U peeps must have some targets in mind as well, right? =P I wish u good luck as well Ah, anyway, to all my schoolmates, see u guys soon in school...=D |
