So, Singapore tomorrow morning. Just when I'm starting to get used to my lazy life too. Haha. But no, that's not why I'm feeling a little down on going back tomorrow. Nope, not because of what will happen this coming Friday too. Because I'll be away from home! And my family! I've just been getting those moments where I stare at my home, my room, my Mum and Dad, and think: What would I be without all these? No place like home. Haha. Anywho, I've successfully acquired a new skill. Not that my life is an RPG, but literally. I'm happy to be declared able to drive! xD Probably applying for my driving license soon after I come back the next time. Which will be about a few weeks or so. Haha. Driving in Jakarta is a test of wit. Seriously. Car drivers demand you to go fast with the traffic if the road is clear. If the road is jammed, drivers will be cutting lanes from side to side, aggravating the problem. But those are not the worst yet. Motorbikes are. When the road is clear, they speed through the traffic like it's nobody's business. When the road is jammed, they weaved through the tiny spaces between the cars. With speed. You know what, forget those. They even travel on the road while opposing the traffic direction. Of course, now the question becomes: Don't they think it's dangerous? Have there been accidents? There are. When car drivers hit them, it's our fault. When they hit the cars, it's ALSO our fault. Don't ask me. That's just how screwed-up the condition is. And given the large number of motorbikes on the road. THEY will always win. Trust me. Okay, rant's over. Haha. 'till next time. Sunday, 19 February 2012
Game plan. Yep, this is what I've been doing. Aside of learning to drive and finding a replacement for my beyond-repair, perpetually-sliding-down-my-face glasses. Not planning for a literal "game" or something. But it's a term I'd like to use when I'm laying out my options. For what else, other than what I will do and where I will go next. It's less than about two weeks to the release of my A Level results and I must say that I'm glad I've got my layout ready so far. Probably I'll share a little about it. After receiving my results, here are the things I'm gonna do: #PLAN A: If the result is satisfactory enough, I'll apply for a few courses that I have in mind in Singaporean universities, while at the same time preparing my portfolio and probably appeal for recommendation letters from my teachers in the past. If everything goes well and I get accepted: DONE. If this option fails, or if my results don't even qualify for this plan, move down to the next best available option. #PLAN B: I'm gonna do the things similar to what Plan A is about, except that I'll be applying to overseas universities. I'm currently eyeing at Aussie, NZ, or even international universities back in my hometown, but with the same courses in mind (as in Plan A), and I will also be preparing my portfolio and recommendation letters. Honestly I think this plan has the highest chance of working out, according to me. But we'll never know. So, if this works: DONE. But if not, or my results are even more shitty than I have initially expected, there is still Plan C. #PLAN C: There are two separate parts to this plan. PLAN C1: I have to give up the course that I want, for now. I'm just gonna apply for a course majoring in Science (something that includes Biology, hopefully) and get my Bachelor degree first. Preferably in Singapore, or if not, overseas. THEN, I will apply for graduate Medicine, Dentistry, or Ophthalmology. PLAN C2: I'm not gonna lie. If I've moved on to this plan, it means good-bye to my dream courses. And I'll probably have to accept my destiny of choosing another career path in life. I'll be going to the Arts courses. Hopefully this is the end of my game plan. But if not.... It doesn't hurt to consider all options right? #PLAN D: Repeat A Level. Oh man, let's just hope I won't ever have to do this, at all. But if I do, another hard work for a year, and then restart considering from Plan A. BUT if it still doesn't work, there's my final plan. #PLAN E: Drowning myself in a reservoir, set myself on fire, OD-ed myself on Panadol, or even Kamikaze bombing. . . . . NO WAY! Hahaha. I'll probably resort into hard labour for the rest of my life and some company as a toilet-cleaning service or something. Yep, that's that for now. But as what I've always been told: Man plans, God decides. I'm sure my path has been laid down for me. |
